Well These days I am reading a book called My Little Boat , by Mariam Karim.
Though i haven't completed it yet , but as the author puts in its a very new narrative attempt. I hope i'll be able to do it justice........(read it to the end)
But anyways I liked the title and the cover page so much...(one of the reasons i picked up the book) that i decided to write a very small poem for my very own little boat
My Little Boat
I wish
I had
A little boat
With golden oars
Sailing on the river
To a place unknown....
I wish
I had
A Little Boat
With a fishing net
And a kerosene lamp
Sailing smoothly one dusky evening
While the tired sun
Takes a bath
After a hectic day,
And slowly crawls under the sea
As it goes for a blissful sleep
With the stars and moons
Guarding its night bed…..
Dreaming about a little boat with a kerosene lamp.
I wish
I had
A little boat
Lost under
The star lit night
Creating silvery ripples in the silent sea
Mutely Witnessing ,
Caressing of the gulmohar trees
As they swing arms in arms with the fragrant breeze
Frothy waves striking magical notes
As they hit the moonlit shore……
